Back during the time of the Hawaiian Kingdom, they had certain rules when it comes to voting, and they had it in a specfic order to idenitfy which rules were more important to others. That list of rules being, Gender, Age, Citizenship, Length of time in the Kingdom, Property, Literacy, and finally, the Reasons for Disqualifications. Same thing with present day Hawaii. At a voting station, there are certain things that you may need to provide in order to make sure that it is infact "you". In today's society, voting goes off of Age, Length of Time in State, Reasons for disqualification. As it wasn't implied, today's society is misising three things; Literacy, Gender, and property. This tells me that the government doen't care about how people categorise importance. The two major diferences that I noticed is the literacy and property part. Those both are when Hawaii was considered a kingdom.
